Rejected by the Labour Party

Dear Labour Party
Thank you for your email.
I do not understand why you have rejected my application. Your email is
particularly unhelpful since it does not explain the process of pursuing "an
application to join Labour as a full member" and the phone number given does not
work.

It is particularly upsetting as I voted for our local candidate, Daniel
Zeichner, who won the marginal seat for labour in spite of the national setback
at the election.

Please can you confirm that you are refunding the credit card transfer that you
accepted when I applied.

Regards, Andy

So I'm not sure this helps!
We don't know why Ms Randall (rorandall.org) has been added to the list of recipients, except that we might have gone to vote Labour together.
Mr Reader seems to know why I have transgressed but won't tell.
The rules are not to be found on labour.org.uk

Dear Mr Brown and Ms Randall [cc Labour Party and Petersfield Labour],

You have raised the issue of your lifelong support for Labour and the fact that you do not support another political party. And express some surprise and dismay that your application to vote, in the leadership election of the Labour Party, has been rejected.

As far as I am able to tell everything the Labour Party has done is consistent with the rules.

If you wish to appeal further, please follow the guidance of 'Supporter Applications' of the Labour Party which you have. And, pursue an application to join the Labour Party. For which you can, as I sure you are aware, download the application form online (labour.org.uk).

Thank you for contacting me on this.

Yours
Mark Reader

Even stranger was that when I applied to join the Party as a full member, because that is the only way to receive a propoer explanation for rejection, they accepted my application.
